Wilby Wildcats Drumline

The Wilby Wildcats Drumline is currently a dream. The Wildcats students have immense talent and spirit, but we need good quality drums. With good quality drums, the Wilby Wildcats Drumline will be able to provide rocking beats for football and basketball games at our high school. We will also be able to be a vital part of school spirit events like our annual Pep Rally, Powder Puff Football game, and Black History Month Celebration.

Waterbury is an urban community with many of the challenges that often are seen in such environments. But the students in the Wilby Wildcats Drumline are dedicated to making a difference in our school community. We hope to be a model of teamwork and dedication that all of the Wilby students can look up to and find inspiration.

These funds will be used to purchase high quality drums, drum carriers, marching cymbals, and drumsticks. A drumline needs the best drums in order to sound good up close and from a distance. We plan to purchase Pearl drums and carriers with this money because Pearl makes truly fantastic musical instruments that stand the test of time. We will also be purchasing Meinl marching cymbals and Vic Firth drumsticks, more solid equipment, to round out our ensemble.
