Wigs For Rachel

A little bit about me:
Hi!! I'm Rachel, 29 years old, from a small town in southwestern Pennsylvania. I used to live a normal, productive, and fulfilling life. For most of my adult life, I've suffered from a "rare" autoimmune skin disease called Hidradenitis Suppurativa, (HS). I would have periodic flares that would slow me down, but for the most part, I was able to function as an average woman in her 20's. 2 years ago, I was working at a beautiful salon as a professional nail technician, something I've wanted and worked hard for for a very, very long time. Unfortunately, this was around the same time my HS progressed to several areas all over my body and I had to quit my dream job. Since then, I've been working very closely with my doctors to try to find a treatment that works for me. So far, nothing has helped. We moved onto biologic medicine recently, and I found out rather quickly how terrible some of the side effects are. Within just 3 months of starting Humira injections, I developed severe psoriasis all over my entire body. My hands, feet and scalp are affected most. Shortly after I developed psoriasis, my scalp was so badly affected I started losing my hair. Small clumps would fall out here and there, for about a month, then ultimately I had so much fall out I was completely bald in front and in spots on the back of my head. I was prescribed tons of different topical medications, and 2 months ago I decided to shave what little hair I had left.  (to allow the medicine the best chance at healing my scalp by applying it directly to the affected areas and not have any hair get in the way) This has been devestating to me. On top of living with the constant physical pain from HS and severe psoriasis, I now have a big part of me missing. I know a lot of people think "it's just hair" or "it'll grow back", but it was MY hair. And this broke my heart. Almost my entire life I had very long, VERY thick hair. And now it's gone. With the damage that's been done from the psoriasis and continued UVB light treatments, most of the hair that fell out is not growing back. This leaves me with patchy spots of hair, and scabs and plaques covering the rest. I was able to buy a few "cheap" synthetic wigs, but they are not for everyday use and are already falling apart on me. I am asking for your help to get a better quality human hair wig. Any amount is greatly appreciated, and sharing this helps just as much! Thank you for taking the time to read this, and a HUGE thank you in avdvance to anyone able to donate.
I miss my hair!!!!
