WHS Unified Sports

Walkersville High School is the home to three Unified Sports: Track and field, Tennis, and Bocce ball. If you are unfamiliar with Unified Sports, it is a division of Maryland Special Olympics that is a fast-growing initiative that brings people with and without intellectual disabilities together on the same team to compete. For 2016/17 we hold state titles for Unified Tennis and Bocce Ball. We are currently working on holding a state title for track and field for our third consecutive year. We are hoping to be the first Maryland Unified team to hold a state title in all three unified sports in the same school year.

              We are looking to raise money to cover expenses that are beyond our current budget, such as end of the year banquets, charter buses to our state meet, and any other expenses required to provide our students a meaningful experience. Please help us in supporting a wonderful group of student athletes as they look to make memories and make history.
