Rosaleen was married to Vincent Talbot and they lived in Kill Village beside the church. They had 9 children, Diane, Niall, Susie, Vinny, Heidi, Charlie, Jonny, Tammy & Rosemary. Rosaleen had a great passion for music & passed this interest onto her kids & throughout the community.
In 2016 ‘The Whole Lotta Rosaleen’ music festival was set up in memory of Rosaleen and her love of music after she sadly passed to a sudden illness in 2012.
Since the annual festival was established in 2016, thanks to family, friends, locals and strangers, the ‘Whole Lotta Rosaleen’ music festival has been a great success!
The ‘Whole Lotta Rosaleen’ chooses a different charity every year to fundraise money for.
This year the festival will be held August 11th in the beer garden of The Old House pub in Kill, Co.Kildare, All donations will be given to Saplings Special School for children with Autism and Complex Needs, Kill, Co.Kildare.
We will be raising money by asking for donations before and during this event.
Heidi Talbot herself will be playing along with a number of other bands from different genres of music from traditional to punk rock! Entry is free but we'd encourage people to donate if possible!
If possible, we ask you kindly to contribute to this cause, or even coming along to the festival to celebrate the life of Rosaleen, to aid us in any possible way to help the children at Saplings have a more enjoyable school experience!
Any donations given would be greatly appreciated by Rosaleen's family, the teachers, parents and children of Saplings!
