"Who Made It Be That Way" is my original song for which I am making a music video. It tells the story of a girl growing up in a violent home who sought help from the Catholic Church only to be turned away, and what that meant for her life, family and relationships.
Skyecam will be doing the filming and editing, and I am working with their creative director, Andre Slaughter. They have done some wonderful work that you can see here.
$500 was already contributed toward the making of my music video. That amount covers 1 hour of the location fees for filming in the church where I have decided to make the video, but the film company needs 3 hours to film in the church.
Having a local church administrator hear my song and be willing to let me make the music video there made me feel that this project has a real chance to make a positive difference in people's lives, and I wanted to offer you the opportunity to help make that difference by contributing to this music video fundraising campaign.
My goal in making this video is to help provide healing for anyone who has experienced abuse, to let the sun shine into our hearts, renew our spirits, and end the silence that allows the cycle of suffering to continue.
