Access to up to date information in the native language is crucial for the millions of Spanish-speaking residents, so we have decided to create an always up-to-date replica of the White House website, in Spanish. This site is called LaCasaBlanca.com.
The replica is currently being prepared and it will be launched on Monday, February 6. We have built a system that will keep the replica up to date, so any changes or additions to the original English language website will be reflected to LaCasaBlanca.com shortly after. The translation work will commence on Monday, and it is estimated that the total initial workload will take about two weeks to be completed.
The White House website is updated constantly, especially the Briefing Room where new press releases are added daily. These documents will be translated into Spanish as soon as they are available and added to LaCasaBlanca.com.
High quality translations are important, so this project uses professional translators. Translations for the project will be provided by Transfluent , professional translation agency. Translations will be provided strictly at-cost, so Transfluent will not make any profit for the work.
The proposed budget for the project is $60,000, which includes website hosting and all translation, including continuous updates, for up to two years.
