White Ash School Playground Fund

We are a Primary school in Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire for children with a variety of  special needs.  We provide a safe and caring learning environment for children with moderate learning difficulties through to children with profound and multiple learning difficulties.

With this Go Fund Me page we aim to raise as much money as possible to provide our children with a new playground that is accessible to each and every child in our school. 

At the moment, some areas of the playground are not fit for purpose, resulting in many of the children being unable to access some or all of the areas and equipment.  This space is used not only at playtime, but for PE, After school clubs, Holiday play schemes and LOTC sessions.  The playground is often used for everyday lessons such as Maths, Phonics, English etc... as many of our children learn better in this environment.

Some of the necessary improvements that we hope to make are:-

- To replace the majority of the muddy areas with specialised rubber flooring

- To remove some of the bushes/shrubs to create a safer and larger playing environment for everyone

- To create a safe and accessible area for our sensory learners in order for them to experience the environment as often as possible

- To install fun, educational and colourful playground markings for all of our children to enjoy
