Help fund a wheelchair lift for Jen

Accessible and safe wheelchair lift needed for my friend Jennifer Niles...

Jen Niles' story: After 19 years of being wheelchair-bound and enduring three reconstructive spine surgeries, tendonitis and arthritis in both arms, along with a deteriorating hip socket, makes maneuvering up and down a ramp of any length virtually impossible for Jen. 

After months of searching for an affordable home on a limited income, Jen's only option was to move into an inaccessible in-law apartment.

Currently, Jen's landlord carries her up and down the stairs in order to enter or exit her apartment. He's very nice to do this, but imagine having to impose on your landlord to get in and out of your home!

Jen has been extremely positive and patient about her situation, but she has been in her new apartment for one month and still hasn’t resolved the access issue. She needs our help.  

With no laundry facilities at Jen's disposal, carrying her laundry basket, groceries, etc. are best managed on her lap with the help of an electric lift, especially during the winter.

Jen's apartment sits on a 4’ foundation and would require a 40’ ramp, which is not a viable option. The only reasonable solution is to an install an electric lift, as shown in the above photo. 

As Jen is on disability, her income is extremely limited, making it impossible for her to afford the hefty price tag of $1,600 for the lift + $400 delivery = $2,000 total cost. Friends have volunteered to install the lift to cut expenses. But, Jennifer needs more friends like you to help pay for this electric lift.
