PLEASE IF YOU ARE A BREEDER, DO THE RIGHT THING, GET YOUR PUPPIES VACCINATED:( AND DON'T LIE ABOUT IT

I haven't really told anyone about this yet, because it is just so hard for me to talk about. My roommate, Jessica Krohn and I brought home the cutest puppy in the world last week. Her name is Gracie, and she is the absolute sweetest puppy out there. Even though we have just had her start living with us, I absolutely love Gracie. And Jessica loves Gracie as well. A few days after we brought her home, something wasn't right, she seemed lethargic and was throwing up. Being the overprotective puppy dad I have become, I made sure to get her to the vet right away, even if it was 7:30 pm and we made the last available time to get an appointment. After speaking to the vet and having Gracie take a few tests, I was given some not so good news. Her white blood cells were being attacked by a disease that can be very fatal to puppies. My heart dropped when I heard this. He had suspected that Gracie was not actually given the shots we were promised she was given by the breeders we purchased her from. I was told that because the vets office was closing for the day, we should bring her back to the vet in the morning to start treating, but I wanted to take her to a 24/7 intensive care animal hospital instead. I agreed to the very aggressive, and extremely expensive treatment, I have already put down $3,300 for her treatment but they estimate it going up to now well over $5,000 Her levels were stable for a bit... I just received a call a few hours ago from the vet and now she is currently being held in the ICU at the vets office with her white blood cell count dropping a bit, and she is on a feeding tube. She is not aloud to have any contact with anything living until they get her immune system stronger. I am beyond devastated and have basically just been pacing back and forth the past 2 days not knowing what to do since she has been at the animal hospital. All we can do is wait and trust the vets. Gracie, being named after the Gracie family who were the pioneers for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, i know will be able to fight through this against not the best odds. I believe in her, and know she will be able to pull through.  THERE IS NO NEED TO LIE ABOUT GETTING SHOTS DONE. Do the right thing. It can literally save a puppies life.

Please send Gracie positive vibes
