Spring 2019 should have been an amazing year for the 50th graduating class of Western State College of Law. Unfortunately, the class, through no fault of its own, was thrown into turmoil. The financial collapse of Argosy University, who purchased WSCL in 2001, left the school and its graduating class without the necessary funds to have a graduation.
Fortunately, with the help of some very generous alumni, the WSCL Class of 2019 will have a venue for its graduation ceremony. However, the class is left to raise the remaining funds needed to hold the graduation ceremony.
Over the past two months WSCL class of 2019 has shown extreme resilience and passion. This hard working and gracious group of aspiring legal professionals have not only spent 3 to 4 years working hard on their legal degrees, but have spent two months fighting to keep Argosy’s mistakes from robbing them of their success.
These students should be afforded the opportunity to walk across the stage and receive the diploma they worked so hard to achieve. More importantly, their families deserve the opportunity to celebrate their loved one’s success and the sacrifices they themselves have made so that their graduate can be up on that stage.
We humbly ask you to give what you can to help WSCL’s 50thGraduating class receive the graduation they, and their families, deserve. Please spread the word and help us reach our goal. Thank you!
