My name is Wilfred Baez Padilla. I am from San German, Puerto Rico, and I am a 24 year old, Senior Student at Kennesaw State University pursuing a career in Architecture and as an Officer in the US Marine Corps.
The purpose of this initiative is to support families such as mine that have experienced loss and have already gone over a month without basic resources. I began this journey in the hopes of helping my own family, and with support from my Officer Recruiting Office for Marine Corps and the local community, we have gathered over 20,000 lbs of assorted goods. Now, we face the obstacle of getting these goods to those in need. Thus far, resources have been issued to Eastern PR and have yet to be properly issued to Central and Western PR. Many communities lacking water and power go overlooked because they appear to not be as affected as others.
The hopes of this initiative is to show my Puerto Rican community back home that they are not forgotten. Please help us make a difference.
