Wesley Neailey Headstone appeal
Donation protected
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page
In 1998 our loving son, brother and grandson Wesley had his life cut tragically short when he was brutally murdered at the age of 11.
Wesley was befriended by a convicted sex offender who attacked him, bludgeoned and strangled him, before dumping his body miles away. A lack of communication between regional social services and authorities about Wesley's killer's previous sex attacks on children, meant that no-one knew about his past and he was free to live unmonitored.
What happened to Wesley could have happened to any child.
Our family will sadly never be able to see our fun-loving boy grow up and this has left a huge hole in all of our lives. Wesley was at the start of his life when he was taken from us and we miss him very, very much.
It has always been a dream of ours to get a new headstone for Wesley's grave - something that he would have liked. However, headstones are expensive and unfortunately we cannot afford the costs, so we are appealing for your help.
With your aid we will be able to raise the £10,000 to cover the fee of the headstone and surrounding plot, and in doing so, give Wesley the special resting place that he deserves and a place that our family can visit to remember him.
We would very much appreciate any donations - no matter how small the amount. All contributions will be very gratefully received.
Our kindest thanks,
Mum Liz, Brother Robert and Granddad Harry
