I'd like to first say a few things about a woman that we all know and love - and introduce her to those of you who may not know her personally...
Jessica Gonzales is a charismatic, intelligent, funny (freakin hilarious, actually), beautiful & compassionate person. She is a hardworking, single mother of 2. She is a daughter. She is a loyal friend. She is an awesome human being! Jessica is so many things to so many people. She has also just been diagnosed with cancer.
Lung Carcinoma to be exact. Jessica has suffered pneumonia multiple times over the years, the most recent being during this past holiday season. Because of that, she missed a lot of work. We were all excited when she finally returned, but little did we all know, she really wasn't better. Specialists performed tests and the doctors found a malignant tumor inside her lung.
She will be having surgery on April 19th to remove half of her lung. She will have a PET scan to confirm whether it has spread to her other organs. They will also biopsy her lymph nodes to determine if they will need to attack it with more aggressive chemotherapy and radiation treatment.
Here's where we can help - Jessica will have to miss at least 2 months of work due to the surgery. She needs to be able to recover without the added burden of stressing over the medical/bills getting paid, the roof over her and her children's heads and putting food on the table. I am starting this gofundme to give back to someone who truly needs and deserves it and who would do it in a heartbeat for any of us! Any amount is appreciated!!
Throughout this ordeal, Jessica has kept a positive outlook and attitude. She puts her faith in God and keeps her head held high. She looks for the good in every situation - She will overcome this!!
