Thank you for visiting our families gofundme page! Let me tell you about Hannah and Madision.

Hannah and Madison were both born with an unbalanced chromosone translocation.  No name exist for the condition these two girls have but that does not stop them from living and loving life. And to keep up with a good quality of life, WE NEED HELP PURCHASING A VAN WITH A WHEEL CHAIR LIFT.

At first Hannah and Madison were  small and somewhat easy to load into our Honda Odyssey.   Now the task is not easy.  Madison now weighs 50 pounds and Hannah is just over 60.  My wife and I have to physically lift both girls into and out of the van to go anywhere.  A simple trip to the grocery store is hard on the back.  I try to do as much of the lifting as possible but there are times when my wife is all alone and has to tough it out.  Just imagine only being 5'2''  weighing 105 LBS, lifting a child more than half your weight and only a foot shorter into the back of a Honda Odyssey.  After that,  it's time to stack the two 45 LB wheel chairs in the trunk and repeat the process with every stop we make.

We have decided to try the gofundme route to help reach our family goal.  As far as we know, no funding exist to help families like us purchase a van with a lift that will accomodate two wheel chairs, two adults and two able bodied children.

Thank you for taking a look at our page!  I will provide updates until we reach our goal.

I know it's been while since I updated anybody about the girls and our campaign.

I've uploaded some pictures of the girls enjoying themselves today at Camp Hyde in Viola ks. Sorry for the pictures being sideways but when they loaded up, they were right side up. Seeing the girls smile today made all the back pain tolerable. Outings like these as family will increase when we get a van with a lift. Please help us realize that goal! Share this campaign with as many people as you can. And also, there is never pressure to donate, but everything helps!

So as promised here is video of Shanna lifting the girls into our current non accessible van. Like I mentioned in our campaign - Hannah weighs just over 60 lbs and Maddy weighs 55 lbs. Just one run to the grocery store involves going through this process a total of 4 times and both wheel chairs weigh another 50 lbs each. So that one trip is 860 total lbs lifted by my 105 lb wife. Please share this with everybody in your network. If it sounds like I'm begging, thats because we are! We really need help saving our backs. Thank you once again to everyone for the support!

Also, I apologize for the bad audio.

Last night we took the family to see DJ Jazzy Jeff at the Riverfest. Maddy had a good time jamming out to the music while Hannah and her Step-Father people watched. We then stayed to watch fireworks to close out the night. We had a blast!

The tough part of our night started around 11:30 when we had to reload everyone back into our NON-EQUPPED, HANDICAP UN-FREINDLY van, then break down the wheel chairs to load and go home. Because of our current van outings like this are becoming fewer and fewer. Sometimes my wife and I will make excuses to not get out of the house because of all the work involved. We NEED a new vehicle with a lift! and that is why your support is needed. Please share our campaign page with as many people as possible. Our family cannot be confined to the house. Thank you to everyone out there supporting us!
