Ali's Army takes on Leukemia

Alexander "Ali" was a healthy 6 year old boy, brother, and son, until this past Christmas Eve.  After a month or so of Ali experiencing symptoms that led doctors to believe he had a simple viral infection his parents refused to accept that as the answer. They brought him to the Hospital for Sick Children Christmas Eve.   Within a couple of hours, their world was turned completely upside down. Ali was quickly diagnosed with AML (Acute Myeloid Leukemia). This is an extremely aggressive type of cancer. Ali was admitted and began three different types of chemo on the same day.  Sick Kids Hospital will be his home for the foreseeable future. 

With this unexpected and devastating turn of events, the family is now preparing for the battle of their lives.  Staying strong for Ali, ensuring there is always a parent there, and having his sister by his side for support is their focus.
