We Are Baker - Support for JJ & Staci

Our dear friends, JJ & Staci (Langel) Baker, have experienced the unimaginable. Their sweet boy Elijah was eating his supper on June 13th and choked on a piece of food. He was rushed to Children's Hospital, underwent surgery, and was put on a ventilator. Despite the best efforts of his parents, paramedics, and doctors, little Eli was unable to recover.
JJ & Staci have made the brave decision to donate Eli's organs so his spirit can live on in other children and other families can be spared the pain of losing a child. They are the best parents and people, always there and willing to lend a hand. The pain they are feeling is beyond our comprehension. We know their hearts are broken and so are the hearts of their family and friends.
Eli was an adorable and energetic 2-year-old, full of happiness and such a good boy. He loved playing with his dinosaurs, riding his scooter and most of all, playing with his big brother Owen (4) and a baby sister Evelyn (3 months).
We are raising this money for Eli's funeral and medical expenses and to support JJ & Staci in the coming months with day-to-day services (lawn care, food delivery, cleaning), groceries, and counseling. We don't understand why this is happening nor what the path forward looks like, but we believe in the power of love and the support of family. We will get through this together.
