Prayers for Paul

Donation protected
Is life easy? Can life be extremely challenging at times? YES!
BUT God is Good and Loves us so much. He Is WITH Us
Thank You Everyone so much for all your prayers and pouring your love into us during this challenging time.
Paul has been in the ICU for over a month  for the wonderful and diligent nurses to monitor him closely. Then? God is in control one day at a time and we will lean on him for strength for the journey ahead. Paul wanted people to know he is good and misses seeing and talking to you. His humor is intact and very expressive with his eyes

Paul was walking from his RV over to his daughter's house. The Doctors believe he passed out because of the impact of not bracing himself for the fall. He hit a tree and a large rock w his head. Laid on the ground for about ten minutes before his 6 year old Granddaughter found him. He couldn’t move or feel his body. His wife, daughter and son n law didn’t try to move him and covered him with a blanket until the ambulance arrived. He was transported to Grants Pass hospital and ct scans determined he broke his neck. Then they called Asante Hospital and Surgeons in Medford to see if they had an opening and praise God they had One opening.  More tests and consultations with the Neurosurgens. He had surgery to remove the fractured bones, which they ground up and built a connecter tower, filled with his bone, to create a new vertabrae. They Attached this tower with steel rods to adjoining vertebrates to give him new structural support for his neck.
When the fracture happened it severed his spinal cord causing complete paralysis from his chest down. He has some use of his arms and hands.
In the days and months ahead there may be unexpected surgeries, expenses, travel and new housing associated with this life transition. Please help Paul and Family be prepared so they can focus on Paul's recovery. The next few months will be filled with healing and rehabilitation for adjusting to a new way of life for Paul and his wife Kay.

Thank you all for the love and prayers for Paul's immediate and long term recovery The family will keep this page updated on Paul's  progress.
