The Western Connecticut State University Men’s Rugby team was founded in 1988 and exists today driven by core values like teamwork, respect, discipline and sportsmanship. These core values define the game and are what make the environment and the culture of WCSU Rugby special.
As a Club Sport at WCSU, we are funded in part by the University and the balance through the efforts of the individual team members along with the generosity of our alumni, family, friends and the community.
This spring the team plans to compete in several 7’s tournaments in the Northeast along the “Beast of the East” – a huge college 15s tournament in Rhode Island. In order to make this happen, the team needs to raise $5K to offset their anticipated expenses and related travel costs for the spring. We are asking the friends of WCSU rugby for their generosity to help make this season a success!
