Help get running water-Ugera School

The project of creating a self sustainable  community in Ludewa, Tanzania has started in November 2017 and the volunteers have already:

· Helped a community of beekeepers organised under Lugarawa Development Foundation (LDF), to enhance the protection equipment and starting a small beekeeping library in partnership with the Romanian Institute for Research and Development in Beekeeping;

· Provided an initial 180 pilot books and magazines and educational material for the library of Ludewa Teachers Resource Center, which works with over 20 schools in the district;




The main goal is to build and activate:

· Two classes school within the school compound;

· A cafeteria for daily meals for all students;

· A public library (including furniture, equipment and books/educational material);

· Starting a fish farm that will diversify the daily food selection at the cafeteria;

· Rebuilding the toilets;

· Starting non-formal education programs on the following topics such as HIV/AIDS, fish farming, beekeeping, mentoring and many more

· Getting the running water to the school premises (now it’s one km away);

The rainy season is quickly approaching (expected to start by mid-November) and the ditches for the pipes are ready so we NEED HELP in raising money to buy and install the pipes for running water.

Pipes need to be installed by 10th of November otherwise all work will be lost :( 



100% of the money raised will proceed to the charity.

We would like to keep active and not have a one time charity event so we are offering free accommodation and meal for 2 people that would like to travel to Tanzania next year!
They would be working with the children, supervise what has been done (work, timeline, budget) and also have a bit of fun.
