WaterAid: Clean water around the world

Working Towards a Clean Start
Unsafe water kills 200 children every hour, filling half of the hospital beds in the world. However, it is unlikely that you know anyone personally at the same disadvantage. For this reason, we decided to raise awareness and funds for WaterAid, a charity which aims to combat this poverty. To do so, we participated in their campaign, ‘LemonAid’, and sold homemade lemonade in our school cafeteria. The aim of this was not only to raise money, but also to raise awareness in our community of issues which can often be forgotten.
WaterAid is an international non-profit organisation with the goal of bringing clean water, toiletries and good hygiene to everyone around the world. Today, more than 844 million people live without the access to clean water, something which most of us couldn’t imagine living without. But your donations do make a difference, as so far, WaterAid has provided taps with fresh running water and access to reliable toilets to more than 25 million people worldwide. These numbers are bound to increase and WaterAid is working towards a world where everyone, everywhere, has access to this basic necessity.
If you would like to be a part of their success, please take a minute of your day to donate, and make a little difference yourself. Even 1€ can help!
