Motivation
What Tuscon, WMG, and Brad Lancaster are doing when it comes to watershed restoration, community engagement & development, and systemic change towards better practices all inspire me deeply in what I want to do with my future. I see an incredible combination of this work along with the City Repair Project in Oregan (http://www.cityrepair.org/ ). I want to activate watershed restoration and water-conscious development where ever I go, but could use some intensive training and a certification to really delve more into this work.
Related Experience
I have gotten to follow and learn about the permaculture movement and mentality for several years now and learned from a teacher in San Luis Obispo, CA on how to do greywater system installations (mostly laundry to landscape), rainwater harvesting and catchment, and edible and native landscape construction for 2 years. I then did personal rainwater tank installations and rain garden collaborations with my employer in Seattle and a natural building internship with Community Rebuilds (https://www.communityrebuilds.org/ ). Some natural building and watershed restoration training as well.
