After a successful run in 2018 at Brighton Fringe, various theatres in London, and at the Edinburgh Fringe with our debut show 'Other People's Teeth', Want the Moon Theatre is returning this year with our brand new show 'Shadows'!
However, in order to bring this new show to life we need your help! Any donation you can offer, be it big or small, will go a long way towards funding our 2019 journey.
A bit about us:
Want the Moon is an emerging company set up to create and produce new and exciting pieces of theatre for a modern audience. We believe in blending timeless styles and themes with more contemporary techniques in order to show something truly original and interesting to an audience. We are very much interested in promoting new writing, as well as the work of 20th and 21st century writers who have crafted eloquent dialogue, detailed characters, and stories that deserve to be told.
The Show:
'Shadows'
Faced with romantic rejection at work, Nat is unable to get away from, or over, her crush. As her brain allows her to escape through increasingly fantastical scenarios of them together, happening side by side with her entirely awkward reality, will Nat ever have the space to confront her feelings?
To make this show even more exciting we will be experimenting with 2D projection mapping to visually distinguish between fantasy and reality.
With a new year comes a new play, written by our artistic director, Dan Sareen.
Following a successful public read through of our first draft at the Drayton Arms Theatre, we will be developing our show over the next few months through workshops, research and development days and performances in London. We are also planning to head back up the Edinburgh Fringe for hopefully another successful run.
Where your donation will go:
Your donation will go towards hiring venues, hiring actors, the purchasing of set and props and marketing (posters, flyers etc.).
