Walk with Enoch, 2017

Donation protected
This is our son Enoch. Enoch is 5 years old and has  what they call “Regressive Autism”. He once spoke, like all little children do, but for some reason, after a surgery and his vaccines, he regressed and lost all his speech. He  remains non-verbal. Despite his inability to speak, he is quick to communicate his likes, dislikes, and loves. And his smile is just contagious!!

For those of you not familiar with Autism, it is a term used to describe brain disorders that interfere with social interaction and communication. It can affect sensory nerves that control the way a person sees, hears, smells, feels, and interacts with the world around them. Currently, 1 in 68 children in our country are affected, and it is the fastest growing developmental disorder in the United States.

Enoch was diagnosed with Regressive Type Autism in September 2013 shortly following a surgery and vaccines, leaving him non-verbal with sensory challenges. Since that time, we (like millions of other families) have been plunged into a world few understand, filled with therapies, specialists, IEPs, and much more. In short, an emotional rollercoaster, unsure of what a day will bring. Although the world can sometimes be very difficult for Enoch, he works exceptionally hard every day to be the best version of himself. We are very proud of him and know God has created him for a very special purpose.

We are hosting our third annual "Walk with Enoch" fundraiser event as a way for our family to shed some light on Autism awareness and raise some funds for a great organization. This year we have chosen to donate all funds to the Arizona Autism Network of the West Valley, a non-profit organization that serves families affected by Autism. They have been wonderful to our family and many others. Their mission is to “assist families in the West Valley seek answers about services, provide networking opportunities, education and resources, as well as organize community events which will allow for a stronger and more knowledgeable autism community”. They have definitely been wonderful in helping us to available services, network with others, and provide a very loving environment for family gatherings.

If you are unable to participate in the walk, but would still like to donate, please feel free to do so here. Your funds will go towards assisting families, like ours, in navigating through the world of Autism.

Thank you for your love and support!
To God be ALL the glory!
