My mom, Bonnie McDade-Gallagher was unexpectedly rushed to the hospital, Friday April 5th 2019 at age 48 after waking my father telling him she couldn't breathe. I performed CPR on her when she stopped breathing until fire and EMS arrived. She was without oxygen and a pulse for a total of 50 minutes, and put on life support after they got a pulse back after resuscitation efforts for over 1 hour in the house, ambulance, and hospital. Multiple times she lost her pulse, got shocked, and got injections to jump start her heart to no avail quick enough. Life support continued for a little over 2 days, and the doctors had performed tests and told family and my father (her husband) that she would be in a vegetative state for the rest of her life from the lack of oxygen to the brain. She has discussed this in the past this isnt what she would ever want, so we all came together and made the decision to end life support on April 8th 2019 at 1:50am surrounded by family and friends.
Due to her failing health, she did not have life insurance because they would not provide her life insurance. She also lost her job 2 years ago due to failing health and myself, my brother and my dad, have been paying the bills the best we can until she was awarded social security disability.
Under these circumstances of being already in debt, and needing to be able to bury my mom and continue to pay the Bill's and get a stone we appreciate anything you can give. Thank you for your continued prayers, and support throughout the past few days and in the upcoming weeks.
