Wahoos for the Bayous

The Student Bar Association and UVA Law student body are raising money to help those affected by the horrific flooding in Louisiana. Some of our students are native to southern Louisiana, while others just want to help those in need. Our community stands by those who have lost their homes, livelihoods, and even loved ones.

We are asking for monetary donations so that we can assist the state and United Way of Southeast Louisiana, one of several disaster relief organizations (and a member of the Louisiana Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters (LAVOAD)) assisting in the recovery effort. Once the campaign closes we will donate every dollar raised to United Way.  We will be collecting donations through Friday, Septmber 16 and afterwards the Student Bar Association (SBA) will withdraw the amount raised and make a lump sum donation to United Way. Every dollar raised through this campaign will be donated to United Way of Southeast Louisiana through their website, located here: https://www.unitedwaysela.org/civicrm/contribute/transact?reset=1&id=18.
