Harper's 5k Run/Walk

Donation protected
Harper Wright was born October 4, 2013 to Brett and Whitney Wright and was born with a rare genetic disorder, Treacher Collins Syndrome. Prior to her birth, her parents and doctors had no idea that she had this rare condition.

Treacher Collins Syndrome is a congenital condition that can cause mild to severe malformation and deformation of the face and anatomy within it.  Harper was born with a moderate form of it.  She had a small airway to breathe which was life-threatening at birth.  She was only 1 day old when she had her first surgery which her ENT physician placed a tracheotomy to allow her to breathe without a ventilator.  During her short life, she has already endured four surgeries with several more procedures on the horizon.  Additional medical costs associated with Harper’s hearing loss, dental and eyesight are a few more items that have to be closely monitored by medical specialists on a regular basis.

Family and friends of the Wright family are hosting a 5k walk/run on July 18, 2015 and realize that not everyone can make it the day of the race.  If you wish to donate on behalf of the Wright family to help with future medical costs, please feel free to visit this site.  After a nominal fee from gofundme, the remainder of the proceeds will go to the Wright family to help with medical costs and time away from work for hospital stays.
