We recently hosted our 1st Usborne book party. A cousin told me that her daughter already had enough books but would be happy to donate a book. I immediately thought of Mended Little Hearts of Fort Worth and the Cooks Heart Center!
This gave me the idea to host another party focused on collecting funds to purchase books for Cooks Heart Center and Mended Little Hearts of Fort Worth. The books can be offered to kids getting procedures to take their minds off why they are really there. The adult coloring books and crosswords can also be included in the Bravery Bags given to families whose children (often infants) are going through open heart surgery within the first few days of life.
Usborne books have something for all ages! The quality, education and interactive nature that these books bring is second to none! The vibrant colors, flaps and textures make them instant favorites! They are Savannah’s favorite thing to play with before bedtime.
Therefore, Savannah and I ask for your support during this holiday season to raise funds so that we can purchase books for the organization that has helped us most! No donation is too small! $10-15 can help purchase a high quality book. If you’d like to purchase a book directly through our party page you can do so or donate here.
Bonus: We will be closing out Donations and purchasing books by the end of November so we can take advantage of double host rewards. We had a $400 party and we’re able to get an additional $140 in free books and $100 in half priced books! I’m hoping we can double that and let the rewards work toward our benefit. All funds will be used to purchase books that will be donated.
Lastly if you have a favorite Usborne book that you’d like your donate to go towards let me know and we’ll make it happen!
