Saving Ava's arm!

Donation protected
While enjoying some fun in the sun on August 8th,  4 yr old Ava Salce, daughter of Kenneth Salce and Jessica Guerrero, fell and broke her elbow. We thought a simple cast and six weeks of healing wound fix her right up. Little did we know the worst was yet to come. She was then taken to Wolfson's children hospital where doctors attempted to set her bones in place and avoid surgery and pins. We again thought the worst was behind us, until the next morning when swelling set in and she was diagnosed with acute compartment syndrome. This required a fasciatomy of her forearm to relieve the mounting pressure and save her right hand. She will have to stay in Wolfson's for a minimum of 12 days and will require surgery every three to four days to cleanse the wound, check healing, and start closing the wound as swelling decreases. It is very possible she might require a skin graft as well. If all goes when she will then have a cast for an additional 4 weeks. Please help this family as they go through a difficult time and help ease there financial burdens. Any contributions made are so appreciated. Keep Sissy in your prayers and thoughts. Thank you.
