Hurricane Maria Devastation Relief

I born and grew up in a little village in the north of Dominica, known as cottage - Picturesque and known for its small beaches and scuba diving. Growing up back home has never been something of fear and I can assure you that there have been many beautiful memories made in that little community, where everyone knows everyone and we all live as a family related or not.
For the past week I have been tormented by the recent event of a category 5 hurricane (Maria) engulfing my little island. The devastation left behind, more than anyone could ever have imagined.
Our Country, my community, our homes and our livelihood was swept away in a matter of hours by gust of winds of 160/5 mph + with rain. Thankfully no one in my community lost their life and for that we are forever grateful. However with great sadness I have to admit that the same cannot be said for other communities on the island.
The sad part that we now have to face is the mass of people who has been left homeless and destitute by this catastrophic event. I am therefore asking for your financial support to help in rebuilding my community and helping my people to get back on their feet.
I am hoping to raise in excess £10000 plus which will contribute towards medical supply, food, basic needs and rebuilding (Building materials -nails, screws, galvanize, plyboards, lumbar, tarpoline, doors, windows). Any donation will be accepted and much appreciated.
