Hi everyone!!! Most of you know me...but for those of you who don't know me, my name is Buddy...my story is a sad one, but with a very happy ending...
Once upon a time, I may have had a "family"...I can't tell you much about my family, but I can tell you that my new Mommies and my brother Duke are my family now. They make everything about my past disappear...for the purpose of my gofundme though, I think I need to tell you about my past...
My Mommies Kris Schmidt and Kim Meunier rescued me from an amazing woman named Lori Jerusik from Mutt Cutts...she heard word that I needed someone very special to care for me, she didn't know the extent of my needs...but she knew the perfect place for me in this world...
I lived in Arkansas, or at least that is where I was found...I was shot in the face, head, and body with a buckshot...for those of you who don't know what that is, I will spare you the details...I dragged my almost lifeless body from the highway that I was left to die on, and found a wonderful farm with cushy grass and a wonderful woman who patched me up...I waited there almost three months to get transported 1,400 miles to my eagerly awaiting new Mommies...thanks to Lori, they had already WANTED me!!! I was so excited to meet them!!! It felt like it took forever, but when I got picked up, I had a short lonely ride before I met my new BFF...Duke...he made me feel comfortable on the 22+ hour ride...he helped me at each stop, and he took care of me.
I finally got to meet Lori and Kris and Kim...they were all so wonderful...I couldn't believe how nice people could be...next thing I knew, Kris and Kim loaded me into their car, and my friend Duke got to come with me too!!! I was so very happy even though I didn't feel so good...
My new Mommies took me to a couple of places and we found out that I had yucky thingys in my heart...I had to get a lot of shots, and I couldn't go to daycare because it was too risky I heard...I felt so much better physically after that, but then I realized that I had really bad boo-boos...my eyes hurted so very bad...they took me to a special doctor for eyes, and she said that I needed to have them taken out...my Mommies were shocked and so was I...that sounds so scary...
Mommies promised me that I will be fine because if I can make it through those yucky thingys in my heart, I can make it through anything...
I'm asking for help for my Mommies...they have been wonderful for me and Dukie...they put all of their savings and everything into fixing my heartworm and buying a house so I could have a permanent place to call home...I am completely blind already, but I need to have my eyes removed because the cataracts and infections have begun to cause discomfort and pain...this gofundme will help my Mommies fund that for me a.s.a.p...
