Friends of Dolores Alfis

Since 2002, Dolores Alfis has been the Director of the James F. McGuire Center in Northvale, NJ.   Prior to her appointment as Director, she was employed at the Center since 1991 as an office worker and volunteer. Her goal for the center has always been to make it a friendly place for all.

Dolores is also the Community Events co-chairwoman and has arranged countless Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremonies, Halloween Parades and Easter Egg Hunts as well as many other community activities for the Borough. She delighted in serving on the committee and the only reward she ever wanted was to see the smiles on the faces of everyone who attended the events.

At this time Dolores is going through a very rough time.  On Tues, Nov 10th , while undergoing dialysis in the hospital, she was informed that her husband David, passed away.   To make matters worse, on that very same day, she was informed that there was a high probablility that her leg would be amputated due to poor circulation. 

Dolores has always been there for so many of us in Northvale.  She is a kind, gentle and generous woman.  We need to help her!  Please consider giving generously to this Go Fund me site.
