Runnels County Tornado Relief 2019

Donation protected
On Saturday, May 18, 2019 areas of our Ballinger and Runnels community were struck by an EF-3 tornado. We have several families that have now been displaced from their homes, and some left with nothing. We are very fortunate to live in a community that has rallied together to help these families with cleanup and anything else that is needed. So many of you are asking what you can do and how you can help. Here is an opportunity for you to be able to help all families affected. There is now an account open for donations that will be distributed among all the families affected. Any donation you can make will help and is appreciated. Thank you to everyone that has helped and to everyone for your donations.
We have an account opened at 1st Community Federal Credit Union that this GoFundMe page is linked to. All money received here will be deposited into that account for dispersal to those affected at a later date(as soon as possible).  Alternatively, you can physically visit the branch and leave them cash/check to deposit directly into this account, which is likely the best idea as it will avoid the GoFundMe fees. Either way, please consider making a donation, to help those in need.
We will have a committee formed to disperse the funds as soon as we can. Jason Gore or Kristi Goetz can be contacted with any questions regarding this account.
Go Fund Me has asked me to provide more detail about this campaign, so see below for more detailed info.
PLEASE SHARE THIS CAMPAIGN ON YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA. Let's help these people that have lost so much.

This fund is to support all Runnels county citizens displaced by the tornado Saturday. We have put together a committee to help disperse all funds raised to help our family, friends and neighbors to be as equal and fair as possible. These families will use these funds to help secure housing, utilities, food and for replacing any household items needed for their day to day lives. I am a hometown Ballinger Bearcat who is currently serving our citizens as a city council member who wants to see our citizens receive all the help possible. I have family members and friends who were affected by this storm and have seen first hand the struggle they are facing in the clean up and trying to get back to some semblance of normalcy in their day to day lives. So any help is truly appreciated and welcome. Thank you.
