Vision Beyond Borders

Donation protected
Lack of access to good vision care is no small issue. It can create a cascading series of problems for individuals, families, and communities- from students in school who struggle seeing to read, to a breadwinner losing their ability to work to support their family. Over a billion people across the world need glasses but have no way to get them.

This winter, Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity (VOSH) and UC Berkeley Optometry students are bridging that gap in a small, but highly impactful way. As part of VOSH-Berkeley, 23 first and second-year students will partner with Project Eyes to provide free eye care to people living in Narra, Palawan in the Philippines. In the course of 4 days, an estimated 3200 patients will receive comprehensive eye exams, eyeglasses, medications, and medical referrals as needed.

We are asking you to help us with our mission! This fundraising campaign will help us offset our costs of travel, as well as purchase additional equipment, medication, and patient education tools to bring with us.

THANK YOU!!  8-)

(VOSH is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing quality vision care services free of charge to people in areas of low access.)
