Vinnie's Day
As many of you know, Vincent J. Cannariato Jr. was one of my best friends. He and I were in Entrepreneurs Organization Forum together for 8 years. We met monthly and went on amazing retreats together, such as Dublin, Havana, and, appropriately, St. Vincent's Island.
We also played doubles tennis together. Every Tuesday night for 5 years, from 10pm-midnight. The Midnight Entrepreneurs league, we used to call it.
Vinnie passed away 2 years ago, quite suddenly, just after his 50th birthday party. He died in his sleep from heart illness complications.
The world, and I, have been worse off since that fateful day. But like any entrepreneur would do, we're doing something about it:
This Tuesday, May 21st, please join me at 2nd annual Vincent J. Cannariato Jr. Tennis Open and Dinner at the Village Club of Sands Point!
2PM Arrival, 2:30-5 PM Tennis ($225 suggested total donation per person, includes all-you-can-eat dinner)
5:30 Arrival for Dinner 6pm-8pm Dinner ($125 suggested donation per person, all-you-can-eat dinner only)
There will be trophies for the top tennis players, lots of great food and conversation!
The best part is, it's all for a great cause! Vinnie's widow Anya wanted to raise money for Men's Heart Health Awareness - but we couldn't find any such charity - so we've started one! In conjunction with St Francis Hospital, The Heart Center in Port Washington, all money raised from Vinnie's Day will go towards this amazing cause!
