Some people have contacted me, calling me a scammer. Well, i think there are better ways of scamming people with gofundme, like with catastrophic and mediatic events, statistics shows that people are more prone to donate for said events. Scammers use other people`s misery and pain. In my campaign i use my own misery and pain, and was with shame that i shared my story. When you have an eight years old son that uses diapers, barely talks and is starting to eat by himself, among other worst things. When you have been stepped on by some of your family and "friends", being stepped on by strangers it`s the least of your problems. That said, people are free of thinking what they want of this campaign! Be happy!

My name is Manuel Freitas, i´m from Portugal and this is my story.
Sometime ago i became unemployed, and getting a new job is proving difficult, because every time that i go to a job interview i have to tell to my future employers that i have to miss one or two days a week and for that reason i never get any jobs.
And you (them) ask why?
That´s the story of my life, in 2010 my son was born , one of the happiest days of my life, but when he was five months a rare disease was diagnosed (Smith-Magenis Syndrome) to him. The map with almost every persons with this disease, my son is the one in the north of Portugal he has my name.

Since then our life has not been easy. And because of his treatments and therapies that now are one or two days a week, in the first years they were four days a week, getting a full time job is hard.
So, I thought of became my own boss and open a business, and why not an aquaponics farm, an aquaponics farm in a city context to bring farming to the city, a clean and green farming in a warehouse close or in the city. This farm will have an educational purpose to, with partnerships with pre-schools and schools around, and institutes like the one where my son attends therapies, institutes for disabled children. Now, the dream is there but there´s one thing that´s missing, funding.
So i heard about gofundme and here i am asking for an opportunity to realize this dream, asking people around the world for a little contribution so that the dream can be a reality. Allow me to thank you in advance.
