My heart goes out to the Zabel family today, as they endure one of the hardest days of their lives. Their beautiful daughter, Victoria Zabel is currently (April 26 2017) undergoing a 12 hour evasive surgery, to assist with a severe case of scoliosis. The surgery started at 8am this morning at BC Children’s Hospital, and I can’t imagine what her parents are going through right now. Although prognosis is extremely high for this active 13yr old girl, it will be a difficult 9-month recovery for her and her family. I have been racking my brain to find a way to show our support for Victoria and the Zabel family, and I decided that what better way than to send them on a local family vacation (Harrison Hot springs, Okanagan, or something along those lines)? Ideally, this will be available to them as soon as Victoria finishes her rehabilitation and is able to join her family doing some of the things she loves!
There is absolutely no obligation and any small amount helps, if you are in a position to contribute. Derek is unaware of this, so please keep it quiet, if possible.
