Vicky Wood Treatment Fund

On Saturday, December 29th Vicky woke up and felt like she got hit by a truck. She went to the hospital and was tested for flu and pneumonia and both came back negative. Thankfully the Dr treated her for pneumonia and was sent home with antibiotics, steroids, etc. She sleep all day Sunday and then on Monday ended back up in the hospital.

She was diagnosed with pneumonia however to much of our surprise was admitted to ICU. She was having difficulty breathing so she was hooked up to oxygen. We thought she was getting better and then we got another surprise, she was put on a ventilator because she was not able to breath on her own. She has been on a ventilator for 4 days now. She is heavily sedated and proned (on her stomach). They try to move her on her back each day but today was the first day that her body has tolerated being on her back.

She still as a VERY long road ahead. Looking at a week or so on ventilator and in ICU, then she will be moved to Acute Care for a couple more days give or take and then she will be moved to a Rehabilitation Center.

This has been a very stressful time for our family with Vicky in the hospital, about 4 months ago losing both of her parents (Pat and Bonnie) and on top of that Vicky’s husband Kris has been very ill as well and had to take an early retirement due to medical reasons. The money raised will be used for medical expenses, rehabilitation and monthly expenses since neither Kris or Vicky will be working at this time. Please continue to pray for her so she can get stronger everyday.
