hi, my name is vick and i am a 21 y/o transgender guy.
i am pre-everything (ie i'm not on hormones, i haven't had any surgeries, etc), and although i am in the public gender clinic system and have been since i was 18, my appointments are sparse and i've barely made any progress in my transition. as it stands i've been waiting 9 months roughly between each appointment, and i still have at least 3 more to go (according to the doctor i last saw there) before i can even be given confirmation on a date for my first T shot. the letter for my upcoming appointment is late, and despite multiple calls to the clinic, i haven't received any news regarding why this is or what the situation is.
i suffer severe body dysphoria, most especially around my chest. i'm not a small-chested person, so i have to wear a binder, and even with that, my dysphoria is a constant source of severe anxiety and depression. i have cut almost all physical activities out of my life out of both physical and mental discomfort surrounding my chest and binding, and i also have asthma, which has worsened significantly since i started binding. an asthma or a panic attack is a lot more frightening and dangerous when i'm wearing a binder, but i can't go outside if i'm not wearing one.
according to the gender clinic doctors, i'm going to have to be on testosterone for at least two years before i can get top surgery if i'm going public. so, if i stay with the public gender clinic for top surgery i'm not going to be getting top surgery any time soon. and at the rate things are going, i can't wait that long.
any and all donations would go towards funding my top surgery (double mastectomy).
