Save Dixie's Eyes:
Dixie was rescued like many dogs from different locations varying in ages and breeds.
Dixie is only 2 year old, he has cataracts, our vet advised immediate surgery is required. This has been performed and we are waiting to see how much he can now see. At 2 years of age Dixie should be running around, playing with toys and enjoying life. This operation cost $7,000. Please help us recoup some of this money so we can continue to rescue more dogs that need our help.
Without this operation Dixie's result would have been very poor eyesight leading enevitably to blindness. DRN could not let this happen, we had to give him his eye sight back.
Dog Rescue Newcastle saves abondoned, neglected and abused dogs without discrimination. We are a NO KILL rescue group run solely by volunteers. This means ALL YOUR DONATIONS go back to the rescued dogs - 100%.
(CAN YOU HELP US? We are also in urgent need of volunteers for our fundrasing events and foster carers for our rescue dogs. DRN provide all equipment for foster carers so there is little to no out of pocket expenses).
