Myself and fellow members of VFW post 3615 Located in Ruston, La, do humbly ask for your help and support.
Because we receive no government funding and all of our veterans’ services are always totally free,
we are reaching out to patriotic friends like you for help. Would you kindly consider any amount of donation toward our “Relocation Campaign?”
You see, our building is in dire need of being replaced. The foundation has large cracks throughout do to roots from old trees, the walls are cracking and separating on the inside and outside. The roof has many leaks and the back side of the building is starting to sink and there is no safe parking and is not handicap friendly.
VFW Post 3615 is a crucial resource for area veterans and military families who come to us for help often when there is nowhere else to turn.
Last year alone our post has helped many local veterans and their families financially. We drive veterans to their appointments to the VA hospital which is over an hour away. We also help veterans and their families who become stranded while driving through our town by putting them up into a hotel or help with fuel or with food. We collect supplies and take them down to Vinton, LA to the Home for Homeless Veterans. Frequently, we allow the use of our building free-of-charge.
A gift in any amount made out to the “VFW Post 3615” (a tax deductible charity) would be greatly appreciated.
