Cancer Treatment Expenses

Hello and thank you for looking. In September I was diagnosed with both Glaucoma and Choroidal Melanoma. The latter is the reason for this gofundme. I was rushed through my doctor and 2 specialists in Hawaii and sent to Casey Eye Institute in Portland Oregon. Everyone has been amazing! Casey Eye Institute is looking to schedule the next appointment on December 11th. This visit, Dr. Skalet will cut through the muscle in the top of my eye, remove the outer layer and insert a plaque with radioactive seeds in it. Choroidal Melanoma mestasis is to the liver, lungs and bones. The tumor In my eye is considered large. I will lose significant vision in my right eye but to this point I can keep the eye. More ultrasound and CT scans this week. Fortunately the insurance covers flights. Other expenses are loss off wages, return trips for treatment, food/lodging etc.. I did not want to ask for more than needed. I certainly do not want to receive something someone else needs as well. I Love life! Wife! Family! Friends! Health! Surfing!
