Forest Glen Robotics Worlds Team

Donation protected

This year three Forest Glen Elementary teams, made up of 5th and 6th grade students, have earned places in the Vex IQ Robotics Challenge World Championship.  Teams of students are tasked with designing and building a robot to play against other teams from around the world.  The competition is a combination of teamwork challenges, skills (driver-controlling ability), programming, design and a STEM (Science, technology, engineering, math) project.

This event will take place in Louisville, KY, from April 23-25, 2017.  Forest Glen Elementary, School of Spanish Immersion in Lawrence Township, is the only elementary school in the district to have teams in the World competition.

Our students' participation is made possible with the help of sponsors.  This is a great oppurtunity to reach an international audience and support the incredible efforts of our award-winning students.

We are striving to raise $7,500-$10,000.  The funds will go toward entry fees, transportation, hotel accommodations, meals and team shirts for 28 students.  Please consider donating so that all three Forest Glen robotic teams have this fantastic opportunity to compete in Kentucky.
