Meet Fritz.
Fritz's owner, Denise, has been battling cancer for over 2 years now.
Today Denise entered into Hospice, her companion and best friend has now joined me and my husband in my home, with my 3 other dachshunds.
Fritz is in need of being neutered, his shots, license and a good dental.
My husband and I are asking for donations towards Fritz's medial bills so that he may live out the rest of his life with us.
Fritz is 8 years old and has had a hard past 2 years, he so deserves to lay around, be happy and enjoy the few years he has left.
Any small donation will be greatly appreciated to help Fritz in his new journey with us.

Update on little Fritz.

The past 2 days have been just amazing with Fritz.

I am not sure if because he was neutered or is just finally settled in here, but he has not marked or peed in the house at all. He is so good about using the doggie door.

We have been crating him when not home, due to his marking issues. This morning when I went to do some errands, I left him out of the crate, I set up the video camera and recorded him the whole time I was gone.
He and my 3 dogs all sat on the back of the couch and watched out the window after I left.
After about 20 minutes they all laid down and slept. Fritz did not pace the floor, pee or even bark. He was so good. I don't think we will be needing a crate anymore.

Fritz seems very content and comfortable here and his little tail wags every time I look at him.

I want to thank everyone again for all the donations, emails and prayers for Fritz.

Denise....your little Fritz is being well cared for and loved.

Today we have had Fritz for 1 week.

He is doing so good. Since his surgery Monday you would never know it even happened. He is happy, relaxed and that little tail is always wagging. I am so amazed what a sweet dog he is.

Before he was neutered we were having problems with him marking our house. We aren't allowing him in the bedrooms and he is so good when I tell him no, you wait their.
We are crating him when not home and he doesn't seem to mind it, course he gets a treat to go in and one when we get home.
Today he only marked one time so far. I told him, Fritz you don't have to mark our house, you do that outside, told him we love him and gave him a kiss. He went outside, we have a doggie door, which he loves, and hasn't marked again yet today.
So the neutering is helping and our constant Patience and reassurance.

My old dog Dapple, seen a squirrel in the yard today, he took off out the doggie door and Fritz was right behind him. I think Dapple is teaching him to hunt. I took a photo of the two of them on our deck, watching for more squirrels.

Happy 1 week anniversary Fritz.
We love you.

This morning I took Fritz in for his neutering and shots.
I let him sleep with me all night, he was so happy to be under the blanket with me and was such a good little guy.

Shortly after I dropped him off at the vets they called me and said they looked at his teeth and 3 of them were in such bad, rotten shape they wanted to go ahead and do his dental at the same time.
I told them to go ahead and around noon they called to let me know his neuter and dental went good.

I picked him up around 4, he was still pretty drugged up but wagged that little tail when he saw me.
He slept at home on the couch, under his blanket till 7. Was so happy to be home.

He ate some soft food and I carried him outside so he could do his thing.
Once he was done I carried him back in and he's under his blanket sound asleep.

Fritz is doing so good and I plan on sleeping on the couch with him tonight, just to keep an eye on him.

This little guy has been through so much and I am glad it's all over.
From here on out he can live his life in his new forever home.

Thank you everyone for your donations, prayers and love for little Fritz.
I will keep posting updates.
still a little drugged up but doing good.
