Veterinary Surgery for Apollo

Hello Everyone,
It pains me to have to do this, but I am in serious need of financial support for my fur-baby, Apollo. He turns 4 on April 15th and he's hurt. A few weeks ago I took him outside to play in the backyard. Like usual we run around and play fetch. I tossed his bone three times while we were playing fetch and the third time he started limping.
At first, I thought he might have pulled something but then a few days after, he kept limping and started crying. I got him some canine aspirin from Pet Smart and he wasn't crying anymore. Some days he seemed fine and other days he would limp.
My dad took him to the vet yesterday because he was still limping and his spine seemed odd. After $1400 worth of tests, the veterinary surgeon said that he has a torn ligament and a pinched nerve along his spine. They stated that the procedure to fix this would be at-least $3,000. I am a full time security officer, volunteer EMT and I attend college at my own expense.
I barely make half of that amount in a month. I recently withdrew from a tough class so that I can make myself available for more hours with a second job, but it still won't be enough and time is of the essence.
Any and all donations would be greatly appreciated. If you know me personally, you know that Apollo is my world. He was the only one there for me during my military separation from the U.S Marine Corps, during times of unemployment, when I became overweight and just about every other set-back I've had to bare over the years. This dog is all I have and I could use your generous support.
