Veterinary Costs for Pancholito’s surgery

Tax deductible
Hello dear friends,

As many of you have heard, Paul and I joined our good friend Joan Grandizio on a road trip down to Loreto on the Baja Peninsula, where we met a sweet puppy on the streets, limping and begging for food. Joan immediately made the decision to take the pup to a nearby vet where he was given medical attention for his ticks, all of his vaccination shots, clearances for border entry to the US and a bright yellow splint was put on his injured leg.  After 3 long days of driving, we got our sweet boy, Pancholito (or Pancho) back in the US and today he met his veterinarian for a complete health check and gobs of tests. We knew he was young but surprisingly, he is only 7 months old. It is believed he was hit by a car when he was younger, breaking his Tibia bone in his left hind leg. Joan has made the wonderful decision to have surgery for Pancholito, and the vet is confident his leg will heal nicely and he will be able to run and play on all 4 legs for many years to come!

Paul and I are terribly allergic to dogs and cats but there was something so special about this dog, we had to help rescue him. We have indeed fallen in love with him and wish we could adopt him but we just can’t. So, we are proud Godparents to Pancholito and will be helping to care for him in the months to come as much as we can. He will live at Pet Place International and we couldn’t be happier. He’s getting the best medical treatment available and will live with other happy dogs on a big ranch in Landers, CA. He will have a soft bed, an air conditioned house and an outdoor swimming pool to splash in. He will be surrounded by love and will grow up to be an amazingly loving dog.

The cost for Pancho’s surgery to fix his broken leg is going to be $3,500 which was graciously discounted from $5,000 originally. We must also get him neutered, so in addition to the hundreds of dollars spent at the vet today, we are looking at a cost of $5,000 before it’s all over.

Will you please join me in making a difference in this sweet puppy’s life? Pet Place International has a very tight budget and any donation will help make a huge impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me. On behalf of Pancholito, Paul, Joan and I, we are incredibly grateful for your gift for this little puppy’s surgery.

The benefit of a completely enclosed riding arena is the ability to conduct sessions in inclement weather, offering our services throughout the year. PPI utilizes volunteers for training/handling animals, as well as construction needs. The benefits of horseback riding are as numerous as the types of disabilities and conditions served. Research shows that students who participate in therapeutic riding can experience physical, emotional and mental rewards. Because horseback riding g
