My name is Brad Townsend. I am a US Army Veteran who served in Iraq with the 3rd Infantry Division during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Today I am a Special Education Teacher working with youth in Indianapolis to earn their High School Diploma. I enjoyed serving my country and wish to continue serving my community.
I am raising money to start a Shaved Ice business in Boone County, IN. It is my hope to provide this tasty treat at local youth sporting events and give back a portion of sales to the youth organizations along with veterans organizations.
The funds that I am looking to obtain will help with obtaining the basic needs (Ice Shaver, Tables, Cups, Insurance, Permits, etc.) to begin a small shaved ice stand. My future plans are to grow the business with shaved ice trucks with other veterans at the helm of these vehicles.
