Vet funds for Mystique & Cloud

Through the power of social media word got around that there were 2 horses in trouble in Torbay and in need of help. I had 2 empty stalls and a trailer and offered this up to help if someone was able to get them out of their poor situation. That then led to me being in to contact the owner and coming to an agreement to purchase the horses.
Both horses were picked up this morning and now have shelter warmth, food, water and lots of pampering today. They have been examined by the vet and Cloud, the stud, and should bound back fairly quickly but unfortunately this will not be the case for his pasture mate Mystique " Misty" she will have a much longer road.
Misty gave birth to a foal this week that didn’t survive (circumstances are unknown). She was found Friday standing over her dead foal not wanting to leave its side. Her pregnancy took its toll on her body leaving her very thin and in very poor overall condition. In addition her blood work indicated she has an infection that we suspect is a complication from her foaling this past week. She also has other markers in her blood work that we will have to closely monitor. Misty will require lots of extra loving care over the next few weeks and months in addition to vet care from exams, to medications to treatments.
We are so happy to be in a situation that we could take them and have had so many lovely message over the past day thanking us for stepping and lots offers to help with supplies, food, and vet bills so we decided to set up a gofund me for Cloud and Misty to assist us in assisting them on their journey to wellness. It has been so nice to nice to hear from so many other animal lovers out there and will keep you all posted on their progress.
