Injured dog, Elvira. Please help.

I'm sorry for the graphic photograph. Our beloved dog, Elvira, ran away on February 6th 2019 at approximately 6:00pm. It was a freak accident and the first time anything like this has ever happened since the five years of owning her. 

On February 9th 2019 at approximately 8:00am, Elvira came home on her own. We had spent the three days she was missing searching for her, driving around the Covina neighborhood, checking the the Baldwin Park Animal Shelter, and posting online BOLO's (be on the look out) that she was a lost dog. None the less, by some devine act of nature she came home, injured, but alive. Her rear left hind leg was very badly injured and she had lost a significantly noticeable  amount of weight. 

We took her to our local veterinary immediately where we were confronted with a very large gruelling and expensive medical bill. As a working family with a one year old and another on the way we did not expect for this nor prepared for it . We consider our dog a member of our family and want her to live a long and happy life.
