This highly fantastical and deeply personal play has been a labor of love and friendship for us both over the last three years, and we’re thanking our lucky stars for this opportunity!
In GLOCKENSPIELSEXPARTYBAVARIAGOODBYE, an agoraphobic pay-per-minute phone sex dominatrix goes on a whirlwind journey across the Bavarian countryside—and deep within herself, of course—in order to rescue a friend in need from the clutches of an enormous, mythical housecat.
(Johnny plays the housecat! Veronika plays literally everyone else!)
So far, we’ve had incredible developmental workshops across the country, and public readings at Central Square Theatre in Boston and Theatrical Outfit in Atlanta. The chance to show our work at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival this year feels like an amazing rite of passage for us as theatre artists, and none of this would have happened if it weren’t for the unending support we’ve received from our friends, our families, and the generous institutions in our lives.
So, here’s the ask:
Self-producing a play—even a two-person show—takes money. We live in very different parts of the country, and we’ll be presenting our work in a very different part of the world! Your donation to our project goes to support: space rental fees, workshop fees, transportation for workshops and production, accommodations, sound design, insurance, props, and costumes!
Along the way, we'll keep you updated, by sending postcards and posting video journals. AND, ultimately we plan to live-stream performances, giving EVERYONE WHO DONATES the opportunity to see our work in real-time, before some of the most exciting theatre audiences in the world! It's a win-win!
