Veritas Preparatory School

Veritas was founded with the intention of addressing a serious problem that affects the future of this country. Our nation’s educational system is in crisis, and it is incumbent upon us to correct it.
The educational bureaucracy must justify excessive spending and consequently, dictate that school administrators and teachers conduct complex and onerous standardized testing. This burden has given rise to the culture of assessment. Our teachers have no choice but to "teach to the test" because their livelihoods are contingent upon the results of their students’ test scores. Over-tested students learn that test scores are all that truly matter, and are denied the opportunity to learn.
In spite of millions of dollars thrown into the educational abyss, America education ranks 27th globally in mathematic scores, 17th in reading, and 20th in science. Yet, the U.S. spends the 3rd most per capita on education.

Furthermore, character formation is hampered by political correctness and tolerance is considered the mantra of educrats. Veritas Preparatory School understands that education is about forming virtuous citizens who know that true happiness in pursuing the good, the true, and the beautiful. This is realized through cultivating wonder.
Unlike public schools Veritas Preparatory School receives no funding from the state or federal government. The average cost to educate one child per year is $10,000, which is why we have established the Marianne and Joseph H. Kelly Scholarship Fund. It is our hope that this program will assist more families who want their children to receive the benefits of a classical education.
We ask that you support us in this endeavor. Even the smallest amount goes a long way. Each dollar spent in the formation of our youth is an investment in America’s future. Please consider helping in this important mission.
